Ojo de Agua literally mean “eye of the storm” - a name Ali Herrera gave the farm due to the vast amount of rain in this region. Ojo de Agua is located in Mozonte which is a small village in the area of Nueva Segovia. This is one of the highest points in Nicaragua. The area is wet, cold and soil is rich, and this region is well known for the quality of his coffee.

Most of the producer here have small farms and are hard workers. Love and patience are essential for the success. Ali Herrera bought Ojo de Agua in 2012 and lives at the farm with his family. Together they try to make all of the work that represent to have a coffee plantation.

This year we had the honour of purchasing a new lot from Ali which was sun-dried, also known as natural processing and the result is undeniable.
